To announce the exciting new partnership of Dallaglio RugbyWorks with BNP Paribas ,as founding partner in the West Midlands, teams got together at the City of Birmingham School Kings Centre, one of the seven schools involved in the programme.  Lawrence Dallaglio joined in with the young people at the school and coaches for a RugbyWorks training session before an official ribbon cutting to mark the occasion before visiting BNP Paribas' head office in Solihull.

Over the coming three years, BNP Paribas will work with the charity to get other organisations on board to support young people into sustained education, employment or training.

Aleki Lutui, one of the coaches said: "Working for Dallaglio RugbyWorks has been exciting and rewarding, knowing that I can help make a difference to young people’s lives by using the values of rugby.  In comparison to my previous coaching roles, this role has given me the opportunity to work and engage with the same group of young people every week, which builds that relationship and trust to help support and guide them for their future".

BNP Paribas Personal Finance CEO Stephen Hunt, said: "For us, it's all about making a positive, local impact.  As a prominent organisation in the region - the BNP Paribas Group has four businesses and employs more than 1,000 people - we saw the transformative role we could play in helping Dallaglio RugbyWorks launch its support and development network in the West Midlands.  Over the next three years, we want to lead the charge to get other organisations on board to help Dallaglio RugbyWorks double the amount of young people it can help.  Dallaglio RugbyWorks' unique approach gives teenagers a second chance in life, and we are honoured to be a part of it".

The programme has a long term focus with the goal of helping the young people secure places in sustained employment, training or education.  The young people can benefit from Employability Days in partnership with a variety of different organisations to help young people to gain experience of the workplace and find out a bit more about working life in general as well as a specific role or industry.  If you think you can help provide opportunities then visit Dallaglio RugbyWorks
