BNP Paribas Personal Finance supports Braidwood School for the Deaf

As part of its commitment to making a difference in the local communities in which it operates, BNP Paribas Personal Finance is helping to bridge the gap between education and the workplace.

Students from local Braidwood Trust School for the Deaf were recently welcomed for an interview skills training day.  The objective was to give young people the opportunity to experience what it's like to apply for a job in a real life working environment.  Volunteers from BNP Paribas Personal Finance, aided by interpretors, ran a number of sessions with the students to help develop their interpersonal skills and confidence in an interview situation.

Matthew Beeston, Chief of Staff at BNP Paribas Personal Finance comments "We believe in providing opportunities for young people to gain meaningful employment, whatever their backgrounds and abilities.  As a Disability Confident employer such initiatives align with our values and we want everyone to feel welcome and be treated as equals in the workplace.

We want to ensure that any barriers can be removed so everyone can fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.  That's why our job application process is fully accessible and we guarantee an interview to all disabled people who meet the essential criteria for an advertised job role."
