Fri, 03 May 2019
We’re excited to have launched a brand-new award to take centre stage at this year’s Be the Difference Awards, which recognises our commitment to support gender equality across our business and the wider finance industry.
A high number of entries were submitted for the award which was created to acknowledge the achievements of someone who continuously displays role model behaviors and who is respected for their skills and the way they proactively support diversity and inclusion both within our business and the local community. With so many strong entries within the category judging day was challenging and finalists were delighted to be told they had been shortlisted for Inspirational Woman of the Year.
At the Be the Difference Awards Vicky Waters, Head of Talent, Careers and Development, was awarded the inaugural Inspirational Woman of the Year award for her ongoing dedication to be the best in the business and inspire their colleagues around them.
This is an exciting opportunity to recognise the vital contribution that women across the business make at BNP Paribas Personal Finance and represents an extension of our ongoing commitment to encouraging women to excel in the workplace.
To date that has included our company’s support of International Women’s Day and the signing of the Women in Finance Charter to promote gender balance across the industry.
Lynda Brennan, director of HR, said: “We feel strongly that our workplace should be inclusive and diverse and we want to give our female employees every opportunity to succeed.
“This new award will give us an opportunity to celebrate contributions made by women across the BNP Paribas Personal Finance business, and showcase why we are such a great place to work.”
